KHM Travel Hosts Our Largest Travel Agent Boot Camp

This Friday and Saturday, KHM Travel Group will host its largest-ever new agent Boot Camp training session at our corporate office in Brunswick, Ohio.
Thirty-one travel agents from around the country will gather for two days of hands-on, comprehensive live instruction from KHM Travel staff and several of our preferred suppliers.
KHM Travel offers Boot Camps several times a year. Training is geared towards new agents, and agents who are transitioning their business from part-time to full-time. Through Boot Camp, agents acquire the skills and knowledge they need to kick-start their business. If you want to become a travel agent, KHM Travel Group’s Boot Camp training sessions are a great way to kick start your independent travel agent career.
KHM Travel’s National Training Director, Marie Smith, says that her goal for Boot Camp is to have each agent leave with a better understanding of the travel industry and how to operate their business.
The theme of this Boot Camp session is “Ready. Set. Grow.” Training sessions include a hands-on booking workshop, marketing and social media essentials, and an introduction to the various segments of the travel industry.
Our team has been busy preparing to welcome agents to our corporate office. This includes providing them with the materials they need to succeed after completing Boot Camp.
One new tool provided is a comprehensive workbook that will allow agents to follow along with training sessions and take notes.
“We are also using a new Boot Camp format to allow the agents to set goals for themselves,” says Marie. “We’ll be doing follow-up group sessions to help keep them motivated and assist them with meeting their goals.”
We ensure there’s plenty of time for networking too! Between snack breaks and several catered meals, agents will also have the opportunity to connect with one another and with members of the KHM Travel staff.
“I always look forward to meeting our new agents and getting to know a little of why they choose travel. It is a good starting point to see how we can best assist the agents in their businesses and help them to achieve their goals,” says Marie.
