KHM Travel’s New Agent Boot Camps have been growing in popularity, and last week, we welcomed more agents than ever before to this two-day training event.

A total of 41 agents from around the country gathered at our corporate office in Brunswick, Ohio on November 6 & 7.

Boot Camp sessions are designed to provide attendees with a solid foundation on which to build their travel business. This means everything from introductions to suppliers, booking tutorials and social media workshops.

During snack breaks, they even had the opportunity to have a complimentary professional headshot taken.

The catered lunch on Friday was sponsored by Norwegian Cruise Lines, and was followed by a presentation and Q & A session with our NCL Business Development Manager Linda Thompson.

It’s because of our longstanding relationships with our Preferred Suppliers that KHM Travel can offer unique networking like this for our agents.

“Boot Camp increased my knowledge of cruising, and how to actually start selling to groups,” said one new agent, Suzi from Michigan.

One of the reasons we hold Boot Camp at our home office is to give agents a chance to meet our staff in person. It also gives them a chance to enjoy the tasty catered meals from Mrs. C.’s Catering!

Boot Camp is

Boot Camp is a great way to meet fellow agents, and hear about their experiences with their new businesses.

Agents came from as far away as California and Florida for Boot Camp, and as nearby as Brunswick. Having agents from a variety of backgrounds and geographic regions means that attendees also get to connect with and learn from peers that they otherwise never would’ve met.

“The information given and networking received from Boot Camp is invaluable,” said Missouri-based agent Misty. “You can tell that KHM really cares about their agents and wants to see them succeed.”

Another agent, Natalie from New York said of her experience:

“Boot Camp steers you on the right direction, is energizing, and informative. It is a great opportunity to meet people that are like-minded. The trainers were very knowledgeable, supportive and fun.”

This was also our last Boot Camp of the year – but if you haven’t made it to a session, not to worry. We will be rolling out our live training schedule for 2016 shortly on our event website, TravelAgentMeeting.com.

Our New Agent Boot Camp is just one of the many opportunities KHM Travel offers its agents. We invest our time into developing the best travel agent training, tools and support to give travel agents the knowledge and confidence needed to build successful businesses.
