Sail Away on Celebrity’s Newest Ship: Celebrity Edge

Celebrity’s newest ship, Edge, sets sail this December! Guests can enjoy a variety of incredible features, like the rooftop garden, the chic solarium, and the spa’s innovative salt room. But that’s only the beginning; here are a few of the highlights of the Celebrity Edge.
Magic Carpet
Edge is redefining outdoor spaces with its one-of-a-kind feature, the Magic Carpet. This outward-facing, floating platform houses a full bar, ample seating, and space for live music as it moves between decks to offer a variety of experiences on board. When stationed on Deck 2, the Magic Carpet is an extension of the Destination Getaway, where guests disembark for shore visits and board the ship again. On Deck 5, it becomes a part of Raw on 5, adding an open air-dining option to the ship’s fresh seafood restaurant. The main pool area combines with the platform to offer magnificent views and additional space. The Magic Carpet can also fly up to the top deck, where guests can partake in Dinner on the Edge, a culinary experience featuring local ingredients sourced from the city of port.
Eden
It’s a venue unlike any other sailing the seas. This transformative space is a blend of nature and design crafted to awaken the senses and provide guests with an experience they will never forget. This massive three-level space is surrounded by windows with striking ocean views. It begins the day as a chill spot to grab a bite to eat and stroll along its meandering path. In the afternoon, the atmosphere turns playful as guests can partake in cooking classes, indulge in wine tastings, and sip on fresh and inventive cocktails. In the evening, Eden welcomes guests to a fusion of performance and dining as they enjoy interactive meals that take them on a journey.
Staterooms
In addition to the spacious and modern accommodations guests have come to love on Celebrity Cruises, the Edge will feature two new room options. The Edge Staterooms will offer Infinite Verandas. In these spaces, guests have the option to open their balcony doors and lower the glass to provide open-air access to the sea. Then, guests raise the glass to enclose the veranda’s space, expanding their room.
The two-story Edge Villas allow up to four guests to enjoy the seamless blend of indoor and outdoor space and remarkable ocean views. Edge Villa guests also have exclusive access to The Retreat, a sundeck, pool, and bar area. Each suite also has a plunge pool for guests who prefer a more private experience.
Itineraries
The Celebrity Edge will launch with two preview sailings in the first week of December for those who want to be the first to experience the Edge. The ship will spend the winter and early spring cruising the Caribbean with a variety of itineraries to offer cruisers before crossing the Atlantic to spend the summer and fall of 2019 along the coast of Europe.
