Rick Zimmerman named to Carnival’s Executive Partner Advisory Board

KHM Travel Group is excited to announce that our President and CEO Rick Zimmerman was named to Carnival Cruise Line’s 2016 Executive Partner Advisory Board.
Rick joins 12 other leading travel executives on the board, which was created to offer feedback and share insight with Carnival’s senior sales leadership team. He says he was actually contacted in the spring about joining the Advisory Board by Mike Julius, the cruise line’s Managing Director for US Sales.
The Executive Partner Advisory Board was previously called Carnival Executive Forum. According to Carnival’s press release, the title change is meant to reflect the significant role the board plays in partnering with Carnival on important trade matters.
“We rely on the valuable feedback these leaders provide us and wanted to create a new name that better reflects the ongoing and impactful nature of their advisory role,” said Carnival’s Vice President of Sales & Trade Marketing Adolfo Perez in the press release. “This year, we are also welcoming four new members to the board to ensure the feedback we receive represents an even richer diversity of agency model types.”
The Advisory Board meets on an annual basis with the cruise line’s sales management team and members of the company’s senior leadership.Throughout the year, they will also provide feedback to Carnival on decisions impacting trade programs and strategies.
“There are a lot of issues when it comes to host agencies working with cruise line partners,” says Rick. “It’s our responsibility as leaders to come together with the cruise lines to benefit not only travel agents, but the end client.”
