When I sailed on Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas in November of 2019, I was astounded by how much there is to do, to eat, to see, and to experience. Royal Caribbean brings guests adventure amplified on a floating city full of thrills for everyone. While there may be changes to cruising as we move forward, the thrills of flavor, entertainment, and adrenaline will still be onboard.

The Thrill of Flavor

One of my favorite things to do while traveling is to eat! It’s an adventure for me to try, and indulge in, new foods, desserts and treats. It is a vacation, isn’t it? What I love about cruising with Royal Caribbean are the options for when, where, and what to eat.

From the Café Promenade, which is open 24-hours with fresh pizza, sandwiches, desserts and snacks to the Starbucks onboard, there’s always something to meet your cravings. Those with special diets won’t go hungry either because there are plenty of vegan and gluten-free options on board.

Going to the main dining room for dinner is one of my favorite things! The atmosphere is elegant, but even more impressive is the service. What I really love is being able to order as much as you want. I don’t have to choose between something more exotic, like escargot, or something with the flavors of home like French Onion Soup. I can try both!

If food is a priority, I highly recommend doing one of the specialty dining options. We went to Chops Grille, and it was phenomenal. I am still dreaming of the raspberry and dark chocolate cheesecake.

The Thrill of Adrenaline

For active thrill-seekers, there is no shortage of things to get their hearts racing. They can go ice-skating, rock climbing, mini-golfing, or even play laser tag without leaving the ship! For a truly unique experience, try the virtual reality Sky Pad and get transported to an entirely different world.

If puzzles get your clients’ blood pumping, then the Royal Escape Room: The Observatorium is the thrill for them. Teams are given one hour to find clues, triumph over teasers, and escape victorious.

Nothing gets me more excited than stepping out my comfort zone. Royal Caribbean puts on events for the passengers, like game shows, bingo, and contests. These are great opportunities to meet other guests and have a little fun! We did The Quest, an adults-only game show, and I never stopped laughing. It was so fun to try something new, get a little silly, and make some amazing memories (even if we didn’t win.)

The Thrill of Entertainment

One thrill not to be missed are the shows and performances. Ice Under the Big Top is a spectacular ice show with lively music and costumes, and it’s full of fun and surprises. The talent of the skaters and the quality of the production keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

Each Royal Caribbean sailing also has original productions that can only be experienced on board. These multimedia shows include dancers and vocalists to bring guests a one-of-a-kind performance.

Entertainment isn’t just a spectator sport; you have plenty of options to join in the fun. The Promenade comes alive during the 70s Disco Party, where people of all ages dance and sing together. There’s also dance parties under the stars and a Teen Disco so passengers of all ages can break out their boogie shoes.

If all of this sounds a little too fast-paced for your clients, don’t worry, they’ll still find shuffleboard and loungers by the pool. When cruising with Royal Caribbean, the thrills are what you make them. With activities and events for all interests and ages, Royal Caribbean cruisers have plenty to choose from.
