In the new year, let’s resolve to Escape the Ordinary and find the incredible! This year, we are hopeful for the return of cruising and the re-opening of destinations around the world. To help travel agents share their passion for travel and the excitement for traveling in 2021, we are introducing our 2021 campaign, “Escape the Ordinary!” All year long, we’ll be sharing travel ideas, inspiration, and news to help you and your travel clients make the most of their vacations!

Below are ideas to help spark conversation with travelers and plan their next vacation to somewhere extraordinary.

1. Weekend Getaway

Whether it’s a road trip to a nearby national park or heading into the city, a weekend away is an opportunity to try something new! Maybe they’ve never order dessert from room service. Your clients might be planning to use the spotty cell phone coverage to say goodbye to tech for a few days. Maybe they plan to try their hand at some photography to capture the fun of a vacation. There are always little ways we can add some new “firsts” to a vacation!

2. Trying New Things in Your Favorite Destination

It’s easy to fall in love with a destination. For many travelers, Mexico, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic are favorites worth returning to again and again. To mix it up, your clients may stay at a new resort. They could upgrade their accommodations to a swim-out suite for a safe and socially distanced pool experience. Or you may suggest a new activity to liven up their experience. Activities like swimming with dolphins or visiting a historic site like Chichen Itza are just a few options to consider.

3. Swapping Cruising for an All-Inclusive Experience

If your clients are avid cruisers, 2021 may be the year they finally try an all-inclusive vacation. While your clients may miss visiting several ports of call in one trip, all-inclusives share many other similarities with cruising like excursions/activities, beach time, and a variety of dining options. With the added benefits of included drinks and larger pools, they may find they love the benefits of staying in a resort.

4. Planning for the Future

With vaccines now being administered, the return of cruising and the reopening of borders is looking even brighter. So, for your clients who are also looking toward the bright future of travel, now may be the best time to plan their bucket list vacations. Whether they hope for a summer vacation, a fall getaway, or a winter break, if there’s anything we’ve learned from 2020, it’s to not put our dreams on hold.

We can’t wait to see what fun and excitement awaits us in 2021. Travel agents are the key to making this year anything but ordinary!
