Karisma FAM Immerses KHM Agents in the Gourmet Inclusive Experience

Karisma Hotels and Resorts are known for their innovative properties, and their commitment to quality. The new El Dorado Seaside Suites, which 18 of KHM Travel Group’s agents and staff got to experience June 21-24, are no exception.
Marie Smith and Chantelle Nye from KHM Travel’s training department accompanied agents on this FAM. Maria Jose Sobrino, the group’s Karisma host, and Luis Norberto Solis from Lomas Travel also guided our group through this four-day FAM.
In just two days, they did site inspections of the Seaside Suites, El Dorado Maroma (including the new Overwater Bungalows), Azul Fives, Azul Beach, Azul Sensatori, El Dorado Royale and El Dorado Casitas Royale, and Generations Riviera Maya.
Each agent that attended also participated in Karisma’s Gourmet Inclusive University training on Wednesday morning. Now equipped with their Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant certificate and their Gourmet Inclusive Wedding Consultant certificate, these agents are Karisma specialists!
Marie and Chantelle returned with valuable insight on the new resort and what travel agents should know when selling it to clients.
At Seaside Suites, each one of the 192 rooms features either a swim-up terrace or a an infinity pool balcony. Guests can also expect large rooms with plenty of closet space, jacuzzis for two, stylish furniture and refined decor.
“The dining experience is critical for Karisma,” Marie says. “They are committed to a high quality of food, like serving hydroponic produce and their own greenhouse-grown food. Room service is amazing.”
One of the advantages of staying at Seaside Suites is having access to the adjoining Sensimar property’s amenities and beachfront. Sensimar Seaside Suites is now sold to the European market, but it was previously the original El Dorado Seaside Suites.
Marie also says the Seaside Suites is ideally located for active travelers. It’s just 25 minutes from popular attractions like the Xel-Há park, the ancient ruins at Tulum, and the nightlife of Playa del Carmen.
“The beach is smaller, but they are working on it,” says Marie of the Seaside Suites. “It’s perfect for those that love snorkeling because there’s a reef right off the beach.”
There is plenty to do within the resort, however, and much of it centers around food!
During the FAM, agents actually created their own Gourmet Inclusive meals during two cooking classes. On the final evening, they prepared dinner at El Dorado Royale while wearing their own personalized chef aprons!
