Starting this summer, families looking for a fun twist on a kid-friendly vacation should consider Karisma’s Azul Hotels in Jamaica and Mexico’s Riviera Maya. Through a new partnership with Viacom, Nickelodeon’s parent company, kids will have the chance to hang with some of the brand’s most beloved characters.

The Nickelodeon Experience at Azul Hotels by Karisma includes meet-and-greets and entertainment from SpongeBob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer, to name a few of the featured characters.

“These vacation experiences create yet another touch point for Nickelodeon, ensuring that we are bringing the joy and fun of our brand to our fans everywhere they are,” said Gerald Raines, senior vice president of Global Nickelodeon Recreation Partnerships, in a press release.

Kids will also receive a custom check-in with green slime smoothies, and will have plenty of quirky and imaginative food and beverage options during their stay.

The centerpiece of the Nickelodeon Experience will be the Azulitos Playhouse, a kids club with themed activities, playground structures, water play areas, and multi-purpose rooms. Special “Nick Knack Packs” with age-appropriate toys and products will be available for purchase.

Character breakfasts are available for an additional fee, and they can also be reserved for birthday parties and other special celebrations.

In addition to offering the Nickelodeon Experience at their established resorts, Karisma has also announced plans to develop full Nickelodeon-branded resorts in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

Nickelodeon Punta Cana is slated to open towards the end of 2016, with a resort in Mexico to open soon after that.
