Disney Cruise Line rarely — if ever — offers flash fares, so to snag the best deal on the state room of your choice, book as far in advance as possible. If you book any 2015 sailing before February 15, you’ll only be required to pay 50% of the deposit at the time of booking. Choose Your Dinner Time Wisely
As tempting as the 6 pm seating time sounds, dining early often means cutting short your shore time. Dining at 8:15 pm gives you more flexibility at port and a bit more time to relax before dinner, even if you are sailing with kids. And if you do opt for the later seating time, take advantage of Disney’s Dine and Play program. The kids will get their meals first and will then whisked away by the Oceaneers Club counselors, freeing up mom and dad for a relaxing dinner before hitting up the lounge or the comedy club.
Don’t Forget Your Eyepatch
Pirate Night is a kind of a big deal, and while the onboard shops offer plenty of swashbucklin’ gear, you’ll save money by bringing your own. Other not-so-obvious necessities to stash in your carry-on: a large refillable cup to make the most of the deck’s free drink fountains, and plenty of bottled water. Stay hydrated, my friends!
